Why people come

When did you last make something with your hands?

Most of us spend the day on a screen, then unwind on another one. Clay needs both hands and all of your attention, so for three hours there is no room for email, scrolling or tomorrow's to-do list. You leave with clay on your sleeves, a clear head, and something you made yourself.

  • A quiet mind

Clay only works when you give it your full attention. For three hours, everything else can wait.

“…it truly helped me relax and feel better.”
    Annafatia G., Google review
  • Something that lasts

Not another photo on your phone. A mug you drink from every morning, a bowl on your table, a gift no store sells.

“Can't wait to see how the tea pot turned out!”

  • Time that's yours

A few hours a week that belong to you, not your inbox. Come on your own, with a partner or with a friend.

“It’s a perfect spot to relax, be creative, and enjoy your time.”

Made here

Where your first class can lead

Every piece here was made by students in our classes, then glazed and fired in our kilns. It all starts with three hours in the clay.

  • A green leaf-shaped platter with carved veins
  • A white mug with red polka dots and a curled red handle
  • A deep green bowl with throwing rings inside
  • A turquoise cup with a little yellow bird on the rim
  • A blue bowl with a carved white floral design
  • A heart-shaped green mug with a spiral handle
  • Two small dishes with carved spiral and eye patterns
  • A speckled blue-grey dish with three joined bowls
  • A textured turquoise mug with a twisted handle
  • Two glazed clay birds, one green and one blue
  • A wide green bowl with a wavy rim and carved rings
  • A small green and white pot with a beaded rim
  • A textured green jar with its lid beside it
  • A green glazed bowl with a dark pool of glaze in the centre

Before you decide

What's holding you back?

The doubts we hear most, with straight answers. Tap the one on your mind.

  • “Wheel or hand building? I can't decide.”

Hand building is the relaxed one: no spinning wheel, just your hands and a few tools, and you leave with your own mug. Great for a date. The wheel is the challenge: centring and shaping clay as it spins, and you leave with your own bowl or pot.

    Compare the two
  • “I'm not creative.”

You don't need to be. Pottery is a skill, and skills are taught. Your instructor shows you every step, then stays beside you while you try it.

    How the class works
  • “I'd be going on my own.”

Coming alone is completely normal here. Five or six people at most, and conversation comes easily when everyone's hands are muddy. Or bring friends and book the same class.

    Read what students say
  • “Is it worth it?”

It's three hours with an instructor, clay, tools and an apron, and your favourite piece glazed and fired twice by our staff: $75 for hand building, $79 for the wheel, plus HST.

    What happens after
  • “Why not just buy a course?”

You can. The taster is for anyone who wants to try it first. If you love it, you get 20% off any course, wheel or hand building, for 7 days after your class.

    See the 20% upgrade
  • “When would I even go?”

There are 10 classes every week, weekends, daytime and evenings. Book within 30 days of checkout, for any date on the calendar, even weeks later.

I had such a wonderful experience in this pottery class and really wanted to share it 🤍 Not only did I learn hand-building techniques, but I also got to explore painting, which made the whole creative process even more enjoyable. Marjan and Nastaran created such a warm, friendly, and patient environment that made the class feel very comfortable and welcoming. What made it even more special was how calming it was for me mentally — it truly helped me relax and feel better.
