30+ Years of Ceramic Mastery

A respected figure in the Toronto pottery scene, Marjan has established herself as an exceptional artist and educator. After graduating from the Iranian Cultural Heritage University in 1998, she developed her distinctive artistic vision through years of dedicated practice. Her work has been featured in exhibitions across three continents, and she has collaborated with the prestigious Gardiner Museum since becoming active in the Canadian arts scene in 2018. Marjan's masterful techniques and deep understanding of ceramic traditions make her an invaluable instructor for students at all levels.

"I believe that pottery is not just about creating beautiful objects—it's about connecting with our ancestral traditions and finding a meditative space in our busy modern lives."

Nastaran Mortezavi

Visual Arts & Ceramic Specialist

With over 15 years of experience in visual arts, Nastaran brings a unique fusion of traditional Iranian design and contemporary creativity to Lemarsis. A graduate of Sanabad University with a Bachelor of Graphic Design (2014), she led her own professional studio by age 19 and later expanded her expertise with Arts Management studies at Centennial College. Her signature style merges historic Islamic motifs with modern compositions, and her public art installations across Iranian cities have earned her recognition as a versatile artist. Nastaran's comprehensive understanding of both artistic theory and practical application makes her an integral part of our master instructor team.

"For me, working with clay is more than just creating—it's a dialogue with the four elements of nature. From the moment you touch the clay, it gives back a quiet, grounding energy that heals and inspires."
